State Championship Training Camp - February 13, 2010
The NC State Scholastic Chess Championships are now less than three weeks away. The tournament will be in Greensboro from February 27-28 and will bring together more than 500 young players from across the state to determine state champions and teams in more than a half-dozen sections.
Young Master Chess will be hosting a training camp from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, February 13 at Smith Academy of International Language at 1600 Tyvola Rd (note the change due to the Feb. 15 snow make-up day).
The camp will focus on specific areas of tournament play to help your child be more confident and successful at the tournament.
It will be taught by FM Mike Klein and Jessica Martin. Students of all ages and abilities are welcome; campers will be divided into groups. To register, please click here.
The cost is $20 per child if pre-registered by Friday, February 12. On-site registration is $25. All monies collected on the morning of the camp. Please arrive between 8:45 and 9:00.
